I finished my 17th week of running since I started training.  I finally feel like I am getting back to my pre-holiday shape.  Today was a second 3.2 mile around Astoria Park without breaks and I felt pretty good.  I got tired after the first lap, but I was able to rest a bit during the downhill portion of the second 1.6 lap and finished without a problem. I felt a little bit of discomfort in my...

BBC News - Mass protests in Russia put Putin under... →
Putin is trying to take Russia back to it’s Stalinist roots by using methods from the 1.0 playbook.  But Russian people no longer live behind the Iron Curtain.  Alexei Navalny was recently arrested.  We know the bullshit charges and we know were you are holding him. Welcome to Russia 2.0, Vladimir.

From Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand
Image via Wikipedia November 30, 2011 Dear Eric, Thank you for writing to me regarding S. 968, the PROTECT IP Act of 2011.  I understand your concerns.  I am a cosponsor of this legislation because I believe that we must protect American intellectual property against foreign websites that infringe upon our rights.  By empowering the Attorney General of the United States to go after foreign...

Committing to a Healthy Lifestyle
Image via Wikipedia Since I have started running I noticed some positive changes in my life. I generally feel better, lighter (not sure yet by how much), and more energized. But exercise is only part of the total health package. Food and mental state complete the circle. But what I have discovered is that if I try changing to many things at once, I fail miserably at all of them. So today I...
